Welcome to the SISTAhood of Speech-Language Professionals in Georgia!

According to a 2019 demographics report generated by the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA), minorities make up only 8% of its approximate 183,000 members. In an effort to address the low number of minorities that are choosing Speech Pathology or Audiology as a career path and retaining those that are currently practicing, S.I.S.T.A.s™ (Sisters in Speech Therapy and Audiology) of Middle Georgia was chartered. This chapter is committed to the scholarship and mentorship of current and future minority Speech Language Pathologists.
